In 2009, members of the Khahari Belly Dance Collaborative and the Happy Hips Children’s Belly Dance troupe founded the Triangle Belly Dance Scholarship Fund. ACCMED plays an active role in the scholarship by having a subcommittee that reviews and approves each scholarship request. ACCMED has been instrumental in ensuring the Fund’s success and longevity. Since it’s inception, the Fund has provided local belly dance students the means to take belly dance classes when they would not be able to otherwise.
Any belly dancer living or taking classes in the Triangle area of North Carolina is eligible to apply for the scholarship. To download the application and scholarship guidelines, please click here.
