ACCMED (The Association of Central Carolina Middle Eastern Dancers) is a professional organization whose members are professional belly dance teachers and/or performers from the central region of North Carolina.

The mission of ACCMED is to promote the art of Middle Eastern dance in the local communities and region at large by:

- Providing a networking and support system for local teachers and belly dance professionals
- Developing and modeling a high ethical standard in all of its activities
- Performing community outreach and service activities
- Educating the community about the beauty and grace of Middle Eastern dance.
- Serving as the premier Middle Eastern dance resource for the public as well as  students and professional belly dancers in central North Carolina.
